BIO:
A.J. Haynes is an interdisciplinary, interdependent, interdimensional Black and Filipina queer singer, songwriter, actress, educator, and reproductive justice activist from the South. She is the leader of genre-expansive soul power band Seratones which has garnered national and international acclaim. She believes art is part of collective community care and that our bodies are sites for liberation and joy.
PROJECT:
Mother Your Mind is a multimedia project about mothering, including an album, intergenerational workshops & a short film.The album will include original songs, meditations & samples from the workshops transformed into sonic collages.

A.J. Haynes was also a Rural Creatives Artist.
