BIO:

A.J. Haynes is a Southern Black and Filipina queer femme singer, songwriter, educator, reproductive freedom advocate. She is the leader of genre-expansive soul power band Seratones which has garnered national and international acclaim. She believes art is part of collective community care and that our bodies are sites for liberation.

PROJECT:

Love Meditations is a multimedia project centered in Blackness: from the dark matter that cradles our planet, to the self-determination of ancestors naming themselves in beauty, to the liminal dreamspace of rest. The project will include a spoken word/song/soundscape EP, a music video, and accompanying Black Feminist-inspired yoga series.
