Saint Allen Austin is the Project Director for the Rural Routes Design Lab, an initiative of the Mississippi Center for Cultural Production (Sipp Culture). In this role, he leads the development, management, and evaluation of a groundbreaking six-year arts and cultural learning program designed to empower rural artists and community members in Central Mississippi. With a background in media production, arts education, and creative marketing, Saint brings a dynamic approach to fostering community engagement and aligning the program with the needs and values of local residents.
Under his leadership, the Rural Routes Design Lab serves as a space for learning, collaboration, and innovation—where artists and cultural organizers use creativity and imagination to prototype and implement solutions to pressing regional challenges. Through his work, Saint is committed to leveraging arts, culture, and storytelling as tools for transformation, ensuring that rural communities have the resources and support to shape their own sustainable futures.
