Jasmyn Elise Story (they/them) is a dynamic force at the intersection of academia, community leadership, and transformative justice. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Integrative Public Policy & Development at Tuskegee University, Jasmyn’s research focuses on Heir Property. Named one of Vice’s 31 People Making History by Creating a Better Future, they are a dedicated human rights activist with a decade of experience working in the voluntary sector.
PROJECT:
The Seeding Song project aims to foster communal connection and celebrate the legacy of Fannie Lou Hamer through a participatory art project in Prattville, Alabama. This day-long event will feature a reading by Alexis Pauline Gumbs, followed by a guided group project to create the world’s largest group singing sewing performance.
