Sipp Culture receives support from the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation

Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Fellowship

Sipp Culture Lead Artist / Director, Carlton Turner, was named a fellow by the Interdisciplinary Research Leaders (IRL) program, an initiative of the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation that offers research teams three-years of support on a specific project that will impact health equity.

Interdisciplinary Research Leaders (IRL) is a national leadership program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for teams of researchers and community partners. These teams use the power of applied research—by working with the community to explore critical issues and apply the findings—to advance health and equity. Their innovation helps build a Culture of Health, one that enables everyone across the United States to live longer, healthier lives.

Through this program, Carlton will work with researchers Mina Matlon and Erica Kohl-Arenas from Imagining America (IA), a national consortium of scholars, artists and designers housed at the University of California – Davis.
