Stories Title

The Magnolia Experience

My love of inclusive representation, cultural celebration, and storytelling is reflected in the mural series The Magnolia Experience. Each mural emphasizes resiliency and heritage showcasing African American imagery alongside the Magnolia flower of Mississippi. The series, which is positioned strategically throughout Jackson, transforms the city into an immersive gallery by allowing visitors to take a self-guided mural tour. This experience promotes inquiry, introspection, and interpersonal relationships. The project is in line with my goals of promoting empathy, igniting conversation, and honoring marginalized stories. Public space is transformed into a canvas of shared history and cultural pride through the Magnolia Experience.
