In the summer of 2025, Sipp Culture hosted the second in-person intensive for the Intercultural Leadership Institute’s cohort of ILI Year 6 Fellows, Partners & guests.
The 4+ day intensive centered in Jackson, MS and included cultural experiences and travel to Utica, MS – Sipp Culture’s hometown. From museums, to historic civil rights site visits, to the newly opened Main Street Cultural Center, the gathering brought the Fellows and attending ILI community together for arts & cultural learning, deep discussion, and understanding through hands-on experience and direct storytelling.
Sipp Culture's co-director Carlton Turner has been a Partner of ILI since its founding. "ILI represents a space for leadership development where narratives from indigenous, Native, immigrant, and other varied voices are central."
