The Sipp Culture Farm and Admin Team made a significant appearance at the annual Holtzclaw Farmer’s Conference Celebrating an historic 73 Years!
Farm team member Eugene Epps, a fellow with few words, was captured here at the 73rd Holtzclaw Farmers Conference held on Mar 18, 2025, engaging in a plant conversation with Pastor L. McClure, Pastor of Greater White Oak MB Church Utica Ms.
I spoke briefly with Epps about his experience on the conference as a whole and how it felt to have that one on one time with conference attendees. “For me, just people wanting to know more about who we are and what we do, it opened the door for laughing and just reaching different levels of understanding. Every time I heard, what is this or what’s that, I answered every question and got great feedback from everyone. I’ve been to Holtzclaw events and conferences before but this one was the best one, it was a good time.”

Joe Smith and Saint Allen Austin, two creative professionals from different parts of the south Joe (Natchez, MS) and Saint (Tunica, MS) were connected in conversation with Ms. Jean Greene, the director of the Utica Institute Museum.
On Saturday, Joe spent the day with Ms. Jean and began reading “The Black Man’s Burden” by William H. Holtzclaw. When he came across the name Professor Brumfield, he realized he had purchased the professor’s former house before knowing about the connection. This sparked Saint’s interest, and the two began discussing their projects, visions, and ideas. They exchanged contact information and social media handles, excited about future collaborations and the opportunities they could create for their communities.
