Community Engaged Design

Sipp Culture is partnering with the Gulf Coast Community Design Studio (GCCDS) to engage the community across the 39175 ZIP code. The 18-month community-engaged design process will inform the development of the Main Street Cultural Center, White Oak Artist’s Residency and 17 Acres Greenspace.

WHITE OAK ARTIST’S RESIDENCY

This 1920’s era home, on almost 2 acres of land, will be the home of our artist residency program. Residencies will range from two weeks to one year. The land will have a full garden and a greenhouse to supply the house with fresh vegetables.

17 ACRES GREENSPACE

This wide open landscape will accommodate events & activities, and will host an edible demonstration  gardens for educational programs. The space will be available for community celebrations, holidays, weddings and more.

MAIN STREET CULTURAL CENTER

Centrally located, the Main Street Cultural Center will provide a community hub with gathering, work, media resource, performance, and art spaces.
