Celebrating the RPPL Artist Convening

We are incredibly grateful to the RPPL Artists and Advisors who joined us for our first In-person RPPL Artist Convening. We created this opportunity to bring together selected artists from all of our RPPL cohorts, spanning 2020 through 2025. We consider all of these artists to be foundational to the Mississippi Center for Cultural Production (Sipp Culture) and central to the creative South.

The purpose of the convening was for the artists to learn more about each other’s work, strengthen their network, and connect in a shared space—which is exactly what happened.

The artists learned about each other’s practices through presentations and performances. We also organized sessions for one-on-one connections and provided opportunities for them to meet with RPPL Advisors. These advisory sessions offered guidance, direction and resources to support the artists on their professional journeys.

This RPPL In-person Convening was a huge success, and we are proud of the continued work that we are doing through this platform.
