What a fantastic way for our community’s youth to end the summer at the Youth Dance Camp at the Main Street Cultural Center!

We were thrilled to host Roger and Tena Long of Go Long Productions, a husband-and-wife dance, choreography, and visual arts duo based in the Jackson, Mississippi area. Roger and Tena worked with children ages 6 to 16 during this weeklong Hip Hop Dance Camp. Each day, the participants learned new routines, explored the history of hip hop, and engaged in various educational activities.

The training included cardio conditioning, street and stage movements, and performance training. This high-energy week brought a lot of fun, laughter, and new friendships. To wrap up the week, the children concluded the camp with an incredible showcase performance for their friends, family, and peers.
The camp was a huge success!
