James, originally born in Nairobi, Kenya, and having spent much of his youth in Mombasa, now resides in Jackson, MS. He attended high school at Nairobi School (Prince of Wales), then proceeded to Technical University of Mombasa, (TUM) Msa, KE to study Systems Maintenance & Network Technology. He then proceeded to study Computer Science at Jackson State University, (JSU) MS, USA. While his background is in IT, with a specialization in networking technology, James’s passion for people and problem-solving led him to the hospitality industry. He has acquired experience in the service including restaurant Co-ownership, management, workflow management and systems implementation.
At Main Street Cultural Center as the Facilities Manager, James is dedicated to ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment for all. In his free time, James enjoys cooking and exploring international cuisines, learning about new cultures and traditions, relaxing with a good movie, taking in a scenic drive, and challenging himself with trivia and puzzles. He resides in the Jackson area with his wonderful family; wife Marilyn (talented Chef, Interior Decorator) and brilliant son, Solomon. They are his heart and motivation.
